With his unique warm and typical voice, Carlos Bastos interprets, in his very own way, some of the big international hits from the last decades, sometimes flavouring  them with a taste of Fado.

He was born in Lisbon, in the typical area of Mouraria and was part of several  Pop/Rock musical groups in the 60s. He then chose the Algarve to live and it was there that he started singing the Fado, beguinning a very successful  entertainer carreer.

He recorded his first record in 1970, which included the famous "Fado do 31". From then on, he participated in several television shows and recorded another 7 records, amongst which was the great success "All that Fado", featuring versions of international, well known music, interpreted in Fado style and sung in English.

Carlos Bastos is the universalization of a unique, reallly Portuguese language, that has the ability to cross all borders.
